1. Classics Animated (Read Along)

This interactive reading platform allows the student to see the words appear as they are being read. This function can be turned off if they want to read it themselves either alone or under supervision. With the narration synchronized with the animation, in-context comprehension is facilitated. This was designed, animated and programmed by me in Flash. That's also my voice in the narration.

2. Classics Animated (Write Along)

A click of a button takes the student to a WriteAlong version of the same page. Here, the student can click on a word to hear its definition, and click it again to practice writing the word while hearing each letter's phonograms. The combination of these two pages is designed to span "age appropriateness" and allow early readers to advance quickly. In essence, these pages are "training wheels" for students wanting to read a book by themselves.

3. Fun with Phonograms

This is a spelling format page from "Fun with Phonograms", co-developed with the Fun Way Learning Company. I programmed it in Director and Flash.

4. Hamlet the Medieval Pig

This is a reinforcement animation from "Creature Cartoons" which I created and animated for Laureate Learning Systems. I used the traditional blue pencil, flipping-on-fives method of animation which allowed for character acting and helped move the company's product line away from blocky video game graphics  towards a more natural, engaging style.

An animation sample of a self-playing harp. The blue drawings were done on standard 12 field animation  paper. They were later scanned and colorized.
